In breaking news, disgraced singer R. Kelly has been found guilty on several charges of child pornography at his trial in Chicago.

After just one day of deliberations, jurors returned a guilty verdict on 6 of the 13 charges Kelly faced in his Illinois federal case.
Of said charges, the performer was unequivocally convicted of the child pornography counts he faced.
The 55-year-old, however, was cleared on 7 additional charges such as enticement and conspiracy; the latter related to prosecutors’ claim that he attempted to conceal and coerce witnesses in his infamous 2008 trial – many of whom returned to testify against him.
Explosive from the get-go, the singer’s Chicago trial notably brought with it testimony from the victim featured in the “tape” at the center of Kelly’s 2008 trial.
After deciding to not testify then, the victim – now a grown adult – told the court in Chigaco how Kelly had sex with her over 100 times from the age of 15 onwards. She testified that he videotaped many of the encounters.
It’s of note that the latest conviction adds to the 30-year sentence Kelly was handed in his New York federal case.
Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.
